Getting Involved

Supporting your local historical society is a great way to become a part of and help preserve our shared community history.

Volunteer Your Time

We always need volunteers who are willing to help. Maybe you'd be good at guiding visitors through our Museum and Heritage House. Docent training is free and it's educational. You'll work with some wonderful people and it's a lot of fun!
We also need meticulous volunteers to help us catalog documents and artifacts. We are in the process of creating a database of our museum's contents that we will publish to the web. So if computers are your thing, we've got the job for you!

Serve on our Board

Board members form the backbone of our group. Get involved in the decision-making process. Help formulate a long term strategy for community preservation, and help keep the CVHS vibrant and strong.

Tell us your Story

We are always seeking new oral histories to add to our collection. The more we know and the truer the picture of our history we can pass along to future generations, the more likely it is that what has been will continue to hold value.

If you go way back, please come down and make an appointment for a fun and comfortable storytelling interview.
