ABOUT THE PROJECT

A Clearer Way to Explore Covina’s Past

Covina History is an independent editorial project built to make local history easier to explore, verify, and connect to the places people see today.

What This Site Covers

The editorial focus includes Covina’s early development, citrus and agricultural history, the historic downtown, architecture, civic and cultural places, transportation, neighborhood growth, local people, archival photographs, and documented changes to the built environment.

Sources should favor primary records, government documents, libraries, museums, historical organizations, newspapers, books, photographs, maps, and clearly attributed oral-history material.

Why the Old Domain Content Is Not the New Direction

A 2018 archived version of covinahistory.org carried unrelated articles about investments, corrections technology, life-science executives, and video marketing. Those pages are part of the domain’s web history, but they are not relevant to the current Covina-focused editorial purpose and should not be recreated as local-history content.

Independence Statement

Covina History is not affiliated with the City of Covina, Los Angeles County, any government agency, or the Covina Valley Historical Society. References to public agencies, museums, local organizations, projects, or businesses are informational and do not imply endorsement.
